In honor of Fibromyalgia Awareness Day (May 12th), I post this song I wrote.

My Fibro Song
I’m lying in my bed,
I’ve got a pain in my head,
and I’m moanin’ and agroanin’.
My back and legs ache.
How many pills can I take?
I’m moanin’ and agroanin’.
IBS is kicking in
and I gotta go again.
Moanin’ and agroanin’.
I’m moving very slow,
but I REALLY gotta go,
I’m moanin and agroanin’.
Heading down the hall,
I bump into the wall.
I’m moanin’ and agroanin’.
Twenty minutes after that
I return where I lay flat
moaning and agroanin’.
As I shuffle my feet so sore,
the phone rings but I ignore it
while I’m moanin’ and agroanin’.
I crawl onto the pillows,
pull the sheets up to my nose,
still moanin’ and agroanin’.
I need some moist heat,
and music soft and sweet,
as I’m moanin’ and agroanin’.
Eventually I will sleep,
but my slumber won’t be deep,
I’ll be moanin’ and agroanin’.
In the morning when I wake
my body continues to ache,
and I’m moanin’ and agroanin’….AGAIN!
