It was a very hard time in my life when I wrote this. My angel came and helped me out. Watch my whole demeanor change in the middle of the poem.

O God, I need you,

I can’t go another day.

I fall to my knees broken,

All that’s left is to pray.

My chest is closing,

I cannot get any air.

Everyone has abandon me,

Nobody does care.

God, I’ve done so wrong,

Your forgiveness I need.

I haven’t been coming to you,

Mercy and grace I plead.

I’ve lost  my family,

Lost my only friend.

I’m sitting here in jail,

Is this my end?

*it was right here in my poem that a friend here in jail had no idea I was writing this walked up to me out of nowhere and said to me “Isaiah 41:10″ I looked it up “Do not be afraid, for I am with you.  Don’t be discouraged for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

God you have spoken to me,

Through someone you seen fit.

You have not abandon me,

You will not just let me sit.

You wanted to get me away,

Have it be just you and me.

You saw something in my life,

That you did not want to see.

You watched me running down a path,

That you told me not to go,

So you stepped in to redirect me,

And tell me again to go slow.

Thank you God for the strength,

That you give me every day.

Thank you for the wisdom,

to know the words to say.

Thank you for standing next to me,

Keeping me upright.

I know you’ll let me out of here,

When the time is right.

Most of all thank you for the peace,

For I could not go another day.

Dear God, thanks for loving me,

In your precious name I pray.

Very open honest and uplifting. A poem of hope and strength. The Lord is able in all instances and circumstances to lift us out and set us above. Keep trusting and serving Liz. The Lors will not fail you or let you down, He will deliver and protect you and the children.
