Skype is such a wonderful tool which enables families spread across the world to keep in touch face to face.
My Grandson and the Wonders of Skype

Author’s own photo
My lovely little grandson
Who is now just two years old,
And lives out in Japan
And whom I so much want to hold,
Has recently started talking
And he sounds so very cute,
Though he hasn’t spoken much before
He was always quite astute.
He has learnt to recognise colours
And he can now count to five.
He has a great rapport with his dad
And to please him he always strives.
He has started at a local crèche
Where his mother is a nurse,
And he has already found girl friends
With whom he tries to converse.
He’s a stubborn little fellow
And will not be deterred.
When he’s called by Mum or Dad,
He’ll pretend he hasn’t heard.
I still haven’t seen him in person
But with Skype I haven’t missed any
Of the changes in his character
Of which there have been many.
The wonders of technology
Have made the world a better place,
And have enabled loved ones across the world
To keep in touch face to face.
