A poem written in 2009 similar to O Captain! My Captain! by Walt Whitman.

My Guardian Angel, you were always there to watch over me.
How we always enjoyed each others company.
You laughed at the foolish things I did.
Even when I knew that the others forbid.
Now you’re gone, long gone.

Oh Guardian Angel, at first when you died, I couldn’t shed a tear
I simply couldn’t understand, everything was just so unclear!
When you left I just couldn’t believe.
Maybe it was just because I was naïve.
Now you’re gone, long gone.

Guardian Angel, why? Why did you have to go?
Was it because your heart was filled with sorrow?
I could’ve helped heal the pain, if you gave me hints,
But now I’ll never know the answer since
Now you’re gone, long gone.
