This is a poem that explain the popular saying that “pen is mightier than sword”. People without political and economic power can have their say with their pen, in a democratic setting.a.
My art is my harmless weapon
used for launching attack
on you and your cohorts
who use weapon of oppression
to intimidate and threaten
Why infringing my right?
and blocking all podium
where my voice could be heard
scrutinizing what’s and what’s not
to say because of fear
and fright of revealing open secret
forgetting truth can only be delayed
but can’t be halt forever
I’ve no arms
but your hypocrisy can be startled
by my weapon
that’s unable to harm
I stand for justice plus equity
when you oppress the voiceless
with no access to equity
you come to equity
but with dirty hands
you use weapon
to intimidate and oppress
You’re now above the law
that you swore with from inception
tagged yourself supreme animal
very much equal than others
There stands Judgement Day
when change does not change
negatives and positives weighed
unbiased and objective ruling delivered
and your weapon loses value
