Listening to your heart.
When we talk, often there are a lot of emotions just below the surface. Can you hear the crack in my voice as I masquerade my tears and chalk it up as allergies. Do you hear the words with your ears or can you hear my heart? My heart is shy and often takes a back seat to what my brain instructs my lips to say. Take heed and listen closely when my heart speaks, it’s soft and humble, but the message is very powerful. My heart shies away from confrontation and rarely wants to be on the front line. My heart is small in size; very fragile, and bruises easily, if not handled with care. Blinded by the light, my heart reaches out, seeking a resting place. Just like Braille, sensitively tracing the outline of yours, hoping that together, two hearts will be synchronized; beating to the same tune. “You for me and me for you.”
