This poem is about a person that can’t decide who is right about the relationship of a lost love,is it the heart or is it the mind. they are at battle.

I can’t seem to get you,
out of this stubborn heart.
It doesn’t realize,
how long we’ve been apart.
My heart and mind are at war,
 they are not communicating,
My mind says there’s no hope,
but my heart says to keep waiting.
             My mind sees reality,
that you’re not part of my life,
That you don’t love me anymore,
that someone else will be your wife.
My heart sees different,
saying that you’ll come back one day,
That you still love me
and I’ll be your wife someday.
My mind just keeps attempting,
to tell my heart you’re gone,
That your heart is not responding,
cause it belongs to another one.
I feel so confused;
I wish they would agree,
I can’t seem to break the chain,
to set myself free.
I’m not giving up,
I know someday I’ll find,
A way to reunite, my stubborn heart and mind.
