I remembered the day that made me feel good

When I played with my best friend

At a sport that I love

Ice hockey, tennis, roller skating, swimming

Or, I stayed at home and knit

Crochet, bake a cake, or cooked a sumptuous meal

What about those times

When I went to a bar and danced

To the rhythms of my favorite band 

Until the wee hours of the morning

Got myself a pint of beer

A margarita, or some another exotic cocktail    

Maybe I would take a long walk in the woods

On a sunny day and would buy an ice cream cone

Strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, or blackberry

I would lick and lick it with joy

Until it was done

I would swing in a hammock as the wind blew

Until it was nightfall

After having a delightful bath with lots of suds

I would curl up in bed with my husband

To crown it all we would make love 

In our bedroom that was cool and fresh

Lit by flickering candlelight 

It was my heaven on earth
