A brief overview of my day in and day out. Doesn’t include any extracurricular activities that we may need to contend with. Hope you enjoy!
I wake in the morning to pack a lunch for my hubby.
I’m not a morning person, definitely not bubbly.
Wake my husband as I crawl back into bed because sleep – I need more.
He always kisses me before he goes out the door.
Next thing I know the kiddos awake.
Get me this, get me that.
Momma, you can’t rest -
What about our pancakes?
Shove breakfast down our throats.
Shouting matches as we dress.
Another day in paradise;
Putting Momma’s patience to the test.
Getting out the door –
It’s such a wicked chore.
Did you brush your hair? What about your teeth?
Didn’t I ask five other times why your shoes aren’t on your feet?
Getting in the car is much like Gilligan’s three hour tour.
Fasten your seatbelts, please, before Momma roars.
Fights on where to sit – my turn to be up front.
It’s already that time, Momma really needs to run.
Drop kids at the sitters.
Hugs and kisses – hurry off.
Momma needs to get to work.
Just to make some bucks.
Coming home is a trip.
Bills need paid, errands must be done.
All I really seem to do is run, run, run.
Pick up the kids, get back to the house.
Chaos is the car.
No one seems to understand the game -
Quiet as a mouse.
Get in the door, clean the dishes -
Pick up the floor.
Make dinner, argue some more.
No peace till bedtime that’s for sure.
Kids eat then rush off to play.
For it’s summertime and they cannot delay.
Momma on the other hand still can’t sit down.
Yet another mess to clean up, laundry to do, and kids to bathe.
What a long day, I definitely wouldn’t want it any other way!
