The clock is ticking fast today

I have to work harder, without delay

So much to do, and the day goes by

My clock, I know, does not lie

I’ll have to work hard, in order to catch up

Or I’ll be behind and out of luck

No rest for me today

Don’t answer the phone, I have to say

So much to do, and I’m not through

My income tax report is almost due

Perhaps a new clock, will not tick so fast

And all my work will get done at last
