It was my last chance to make things right

I have lived my life in the fast lane

If change does not happen soon

Might be my only one

To be active and productive was an after thought

I desired to party and live for the moment

I did not care for the needs of others

My mine was on winning forget the others

This is a rat race where I am the biggest rodent

If you control the cheese and drive traffic

For power is what I desire

My last chance to start the fire

I am out to get what I can

My interest is not for the betterment of man

You might feel I am selfish

This does not matter.

It is my desire.

Because I am the period after the sentence

All is fair on my path to success

Your destruction means little to me

This is my world and I am king

Yes this was my way of thinking

Yes this was my mess

I did not see that I was isolated

The future doom created from my past

So now I am at this point in life

With no friends, family or money

Success is nowhere near

To learn from my past

Should have been my goal

We do not always get a second chance
