My end is now, there is no more turning back.

The blanket of darkness covers the earth, that no light can fulfill its purpose. In the silence of the night, a feeling of satisfaction and peace wraps my whole soul.. . It is the calmest sleep I will ever have.

I can feel my body being lifted by hundreds of angels, by hundreds of figures with sweet faces. .. My end is now, there is no more turning back.

My Last Farewell

(March 16, 2005 Composition)

By: Chelsea Arsenal

The blanket of darkness covers the earth

That no light can fulfill its purpose.

The roar of the deep ocean, it is deafening,

The moon is not in sight

On this very unpredictable night.

The cool wind roaming the earth

Signifies something serious and deep.

Its blow is like the symphony playing,

The sound is magical, enchanting,

Like a never-ending song of spirits.

In the silence of the night,

A feeling of satisfaction and peace wraps my whole soul.

It is the calmest sleep I will ever have.

The fairies and the fireflies will dance around,

And lift my body and touch my lifeless but valiant heart.

As morning approaches, the sun rise,

It greets my soul with breathtaking colors,

It paints the entire vast sky.

It is the masterpiece of life,

A painting that shall never fade away.

There in the heavens are white stallions,

A powerful man there rides,

I can feel my body being lifted by hundreds of angels,

By hundreds of figures with sweet faces,

And can hear the music of their harps.

My end is now, there is no more turning back.

To my mother country, I give thee thanks.

The voices of a million angels could not express my gratitude,

And all of me am for thee, and now to you I say, Farewell! Farewell!

Very touching.. One should stop thinking of the end to live happily.

Thank you so much, I actually get a little sensitive when I wrote this poem. I based it on what happened before in my life, so I am kind of close to this composition.. Thanks again drelayaraja!
