Aabout my precious gem of a cat. She is simply amazing.

My little angel, she loves me day and night
No one could protect me better
Than her little fearless fright
She has more guts and more drive
Than any pet known to man
My little girl was born to fight
She gets chased by her sister
Almost every night
But always wins with her unassuming might
She is a feline like no other
She would probably attack my brother
If he would ever stop over
She’s an indoor cat but a rover
Always on the prowl
But hardly ever rolls over
My little feline lover
She loves me like no other
I spend much time at home
She never leaves me alone
She does her best to defend me
She even visits me on the throne
She growls at the trash truck
In her ferocious little way
But I truly believe
She will protect me to my dying day
She loves me unconditionally
And protects daddy with all her might
Big bad Bo Jack never knew
He would be so spellbound
By my little daughter Becky Boo
The little mistress sleeps on mommy and daddy’s back
I believe she has no greater love
Than mommy or daddy’s Bo Jack attack
This is just a little ditty
About my little cat
She has more stones than me
And if provoked she will attack
There is no doubt in my mind If little Becky got mad
She would protect the little Bo jack
If I ever got too sad.
She talks to me all the time
We mimic meows
Back and forth

I never imagined I could enjoy and love an animal so much, I know this is my second article about her but she is such a cool animal, even when she sticks her butt in my face or decides it’s time to lay down on my keyboard or send an Email before it’s done.

She plays fetch, she plays keep away, she plays tug of war, she watches over me like a hawk. She is almost two years old and has hissed at me only twice, then starts purring. She is super spoiled and she gives me a little whimpering sound when she does something wrong. She loves to steal my things and loves anything shiny. I believe like a good dog, she would attack a bear for me if she had to. She is an amazing cat and seems to love me even more lately since the weather has gotten colder. I don’t think she likes the rain. Thunder is the only thing she has ever been scared by. Becky and her sister have monumental battles and then they lick each other or the other way around. They will clean each others face and then attack. They really smack the hell out of each other, I am amazed they don’t hurt each other. They are both very clever too, She always gets me with the come rub my belly facade, then attacks me. She only bites hard enough to let me know she could if she wanted to. I have very sensitive teeth and I often use a straw when drinking something, she steals them from me, she steals our toothbrushes, Q tips, keys, hair barrettes, silverware, she loves to chew on the mail and shred newspapers and magazines. As soon as we stand up, she sits on our chairs, they have to join us in the bathroom, they even try to turn the doorknob. I don’t know how many times she has tripped me and I fell down trying not to squish her. After she gives me the innocent look, and I just can’t get mad at her. I never knew I was a cat person until we adopted them. Some might think it weird but we really do love them as if they were our children. I have several names for her and she responds to them all, one of them is Becky Bulldog, because that’s what she acts like. She understands several verbal commands too. She knows “Lay Down”, she knows,” Get Down”, “Get out of my chair“,” Jump” and their wet food is Yum Yums.

I have 2 big ole dogs and 3 cats. I love my cats!! dogs too, but have always been a cat person. When a cat truly adopts you, you know you are special. (you don’t adopt a cat) I have an Egyptian Mau, the only cat I ever paid money for, and she is so cute. I can’t read the paper in the morning because her furry butt is laying all over it. She loves sleeping with me, but my hubby is allergic, so it’s not very often she gets to. And when he comes in the room and gives her that look, she gets up and leaves. It’s so funny. She gives him dirty looks on her way out the door. LOL
And she understands quite a few words, too. And is addicted to catnip. We should talk one day, Matt. We could really swap stories!!

I don’t think I’ve ever read such a long tribute to a cat!

I am a cat lover too. I think we’ve had about 25 of them. My very favorite cat ran away or got lost when we moved. We did check with the people who bought our old house, but she wasn’t there. The cat we have now is a freak. She is ferocious, but not loyal. She also steals stuff (my pincushion, with pins still in it, disappeared a while ago), breaks stuff by throwing it off shelves, and she opens drawers and runs off with our socks.

Sounds like you love your cat as much as I love my dogs.

Great story. I used to have a cat named “Blackie” and I loved him like he was my own child. I was him from a tiny little kitten and I was heartbroken when he died. He was both an indoor and outdoor cat. He pretty much came and went as he pleased.
