The first time I saw you so full of energy from my womb
I can’t help myself brushing your hair using my hand as your comb
I saw in your eyes the happiness when you saw your first light
Though they seem so innocent but eager to just look what’s at sight
Your first smile gave me immeasurable joy and gladness
My tears fall but not for sadness but for a complete happiness
When you start uttering words I knew then what’s at stake
Learning for you will be easy just like an icing to the cake
As you start walking without help as you go to each port
You learn it the easy way by yourself no need that much support
Running seemed easy too as you hide yourself during bath time
And laughing out very loud as we seek you and dab you with lime
My little one with full of talents as her gift from up above
Singing, dancing, being creative that makes her to be more loved
Now as she grows very fast with all the challenges coming
