A Pearl of a Friend.
To my long lost Auntie.
A gem so fine.
A pearl of a lady.
A pearl of a friend.
So sweet, so kind.
She had a look of softness that would put a hurricane to its knees.
She was a very well groomed lady, and drunk fine tea.
Not a sticky-beak, nor unkind.
The click clatter
of her knitting needles I still hear in my mind.
Donna she said, come with ME.
Lovely it was, so fine indeed.

A pearl ring she did shared .
So special it was, she clasped my hand, with a wee squeeze
looked in to my eyes deeply entering my sole, ***A wee pearl you are , A treasure so deep***.
I wore with pride, my auntie gave me.
She had a way of calmness/charming/ warming, like a ray of sunshine glistering on rippled waters.
She was my mentor, I was her princess.
A gem so priceless ***My Auntie***
The pearl ring it took flight , taken, ripped away
To be worn by another, just not by me.
That thief , took , took more than he realized .
Asleep in the ground, It came time for my Auntie to rest.
I was so sad,
Not for the fact that the pearl ring
was gone,
but for the fact Id lost ***A pearl of a friend. ***
