I have always had a moth phobia which has got me in many scrapes in the past.
This was my latest escapade.

*

I felt like really pampering myself

While my hubby was still away,

And luxuriating in a nice deep bath,

The perfect end to a busy day.

*

I had only been in there a short while

When I saw something down by my feet.

To my horror it was a great big moth,

And my screams were not too discreet.

*

I couldn’t even get out of the bath

As there were no handles to aid my escape.

And I flailed around like a giant whale

Causing large waves to add to my scrape.

*

At last after much shrieking and panic

I beat a hasty retreat through the door,

Slamming it with great force behind me

And dripping water all over the floor.

*

It was some time before I had calmed down,

And with no hubby to answer my cries,

I crept gingerly back into the bathroom

Where the moth had met its demise.

*

With all the courage I could muster

The plug came away in my hand

And as the moth settled in the plughole

My fear I could barely withstand.

*

Then in the light I noticed it gleaming

And wondered what on earth I should do.

So I decided to inspect it and found to my shame

It was just sticky paper from out of my shoe.

*

All that for nothing!!

Christine, that was hilarious. My daughter in law is about spiders as you are by moths, to see a spider turns her into a ninny. You would never believe it because otherwise she is a touch cookie.
