Poetry for the soul.

I have stood before the abyss

And heard the sweet melody of oblivion

My mother’s voice my only anchor

And connection to this world

I fear not death

The battlefield is my nursery

My mother’s voice

My only anchor to the light

I faced my failures

And pondered my regrets

As I stand here on the precipice of my end or beginning

Oblivion take me or mercy spare me

A soldier still I step forward

Can you hear my mother’s voice
