This is my effort to write a palindrome poem. They are great fun to write. You might surprise yourself with something really good. Mine turned out better than I thought. I mulled over it while I was taking my morning walk and it almost wrote itself. Don’t be surprised if I publish more and I hope to see some of your palindromes.
This is my answer to the challenge of Philly Dreamer to write a Palindrome poem. It reads first to last and last to first. I hope all my friends take up the challenge. It’s fun and creative. I did mine on the spur of the moment while I was taking my walk through the woods. It’s a beautiful day and dogwoods are already blooming. The trees aren’t green yet, but if this warm weather holds, they soon will be. My sister told me her daffodils are already in bloom and her fingers are itching to put in a garden. This is our warmest winter on record. We have used very little heat so that probably means the gas company will up their price. Okay, here is my first attempt at a Palindrome poem.

A Palindrome Poem
Green willows, silver birches
Line the creeks, sprite and perky
Lending shade to fern and shallows
Through summer days and golden sunshine
Branches green and bright as corn fields
Softly folding into woodlands

Branches green and bright as corn fields
Through summer days and golden sunshine
Lending shade to fern and shallows
Line the creeks, sprite and perky
Green willows, silver birches
