Having your passion inches away not knowing if they are truly yours.

My passion quickens

as I feel your presence.

Breath stills in essence.

A song pops into my head

as I lie here in your bed.

No emptiness do I feel.

Is this a dream, are you for real?

Your love has helped me to heal.

I no longer feel that lonely chill.

I take in the aroma of your scent.

I could track you by that alone

wherever you went.

I watch you as you sleep.

This moment is in my memory to keep.

I suddenly begin to weep.

No one has ever

shown me love like you.

What would I do

if I were to lose you?

I run my fingers through my hair

and dry my tears.

Determined, I switch gears.

I must not be negative

and claim what I want to be mine

for a lifetime.

You awaken and look at me.

It was then that I knew

you were feeling it too.

Happy am I,

I’ve got my guy.

DB – As a bather in patchoulli aromatherapy essential oil, I loved this romantic poem. “aroma of your scent”…even though I’m sure that it is a natural scent that you are referring to. Strange, but I have heard that many women are attracted to the aroma of a man’s sweaty armpits and other scents…not sure if that is sense or nonsense!!! Anyway, this was a most enjoyable read…as are all of your writing!
