My poetry is lame

Like my friend whatsisname

I try real hard to rhyme

I do it every line

No matter how I try

I always screw it up.

I wrote a poem today

I had big fun, hooray

I rhymed the words so well

Everything was swell

I focused on the meter

But something wasn’t right.

So if you like to write

Take some free advice

A poem it has two parts

That raises it to Art

The first one is good timing

Rhyming is the second one.
