This poem is about My salvation is coming.
Once, ’twas just a dull sound,
dull like my idle mind; it echoed
deep inside me like a shrill cry,
a passing, dying moan.
Again, it haunts me,
irking, irritating my soul’s depth,
touching me; this time, I could feel
not so distant… it’s burning,
moving me up; I can’t resist
I can’t ignore.
Awake, unlike many times ago,
disturbed but not troubled,
puzzled but determined,
annoyed and yet searching
satisfied … still longs for more.
Assured, much more than ever,
He consoled my soul
and directed my destiny;
my inquiries, responded
I won’t be troubled anymore;
much more sure I am,
my salvation is coming
