Love poem.

Sometimes you can push

Away pain so much

You disconnect, life becomes sssh

You lose touch

Of what’s going on around you

What is real

How you should be, what’s true

You forget how to feel

But deep inside you remember

Something you yearn to feel again

A risk, a step, a moment tender

Shared suddenly, awakes, abandons long felt pain

That has stayed and set

Has not let go

Covered you over, blindly let

You withdraw inside. Deny. Say no

Till you know deep inside

One day you will let go of that cloak

Open up; say here I am. I haven’t died

Touch me, pinch me. Give me a poke

I’m here and waiting

It’s been a very long time

But I’m deserving, tired of hating

Feel my need, my something to call mine
