Short poem, introspective.
Small and twinkling. The light of just one tiny cloud of dust in the grand sea of universe above me caught my eye.
It drew me in as if I were suddenly a part of it gravitational pull.
Its almost as if this star, my star, is just that. My star, it is me.
Its light is strong at times, then flickers. The strength starting to dwindle, as if the power of everyone around it takes over and it feels like it just may collapse.
The world that it is a part of takes over the that it is, just like me.
Just as you think it may fade out entirely, forever darkened by its surroundings, it shines through again.
The strength of the light now is breathtaking.
When it shines it seems its winking at you.
Telling you that it can overcome the great bearings of life and the universe.
The power it holds is amazing, its light far greater than its surroundings. It’s thriving again.
But, the thriving, the shining, the will power it takes seems draining.
And for this long moment of radiance, it knows this feeling won’t, can’t last long.
Soon it will be crushed, dust among its peers, but for now it shines brilliantly.
