My swan song is my last dedication to a life that was enjoyable. It is an experience like the Swan Lake ballet.

It is the belief

That when a swan

Is about to die

It sings

- – -

I’m a swan herder

That tends swans

I’ve lived amidst their gracefulness

Admire their pure white plumage

And marvel at their purity

- – -

So when I die

Let me do a swan song

Listen to the best that music

Has to offer

Eat the most delicious meal

Drink my favorite wine

- – -

After all it’ll be

My farewell dance

So that I may do

A gig with my best friends

On my way to a new land

That’s colorful and sublime

- – -

Let the priest come

To my swannery

A place where swans are raised

Where I’ll be

To let me sip of that wine

Before I delightfully depart

Touching. The best that we can hope for, is to go peacefully.
