Just a Little More of Me
for You to See.

Yes like us all I have had pain/

Pain in my heart

as bad as could be.

It hurt like hell

So sore ,go away,  don’t hurt me.

Too late!

Chopped off from all

Tried to protect

Then loneliness played its part

and that was the biggest pain of all.

I marked so as not to forget

I look in the mirror

A reminder of past

Don’t do it again

…{image by author}

A Celtic design I draw myself.

A bit hard for you see.

A heart in the middle

with scrolled wings

flying wide

open so glories can be seen

A daily reminder

never to close off

always be free

My tattoo and me.

    Pain of being ignored

    Is the worst living pain

    If have experienced

    I’ve helped
    Many experience it

    Heart pain is excruciating

    At the very most

    If not attended to

    It’s like an injection

Pain is killed by a doctor.

Wow, I haven’t met a gun-toting beauty all my life just now. Shoot me babe and explain later when I’m gone. I like your tattoo poem, it rocks.

Let your body bear the inks of your journey. Some will be pleasant to recall , others will be embedded with the sting of the needle, never to be forgotten. Live well, peace. Friend, fan, smile

Tattoos are usually there for life and are symbolic of something or someone near and dear to you in your life. I like how you expressed that and I liked your poem StandingProud:)

Another fine piece Donna, I like the way you just say what you mean and mean what you say.
I’m not much of a tat man but I can appreciate the artwork on some I see, If you did indeed design that tat of yours then I can see you have a lot more talent then we see.
I am looking forward to reading more of your excellent work.

Perhaps your journey explains why many are addicted to tattoos. Tattoos are not only just art but expressions as well. Thank you.

A lot of talent wrapped up in one package…poet, artist, gunslinger, heartbreaker (no doubt). Lonliness hurts…so do tattoos. A flying heart says it all. Well done.

Nice post about tattoo. I like seeing tattoos of others but I would not rather have them on my body because I’m afraid of pain.

I guess many tattoos have personal meanings to which the casual viewer has no understanding. Your Celtic design is fantastic.
