A time spent with my friend.

           My Time With You

                    by William H. Dewyea

We both spoke in quiet tones,

While winds are blowing soft.

We often enjoyed a summer’s day,

While reading in the loft.

On new mowed hay above the stalls,

Where cows soon would be.

We shared each others company,

My friend, my thoughts and me.

There was still time in our youth,

Before the labors come.

That we could enjoy a peaceful day,

In the barn ,out of the sun.

I have charished my time with you,

And kept it in my heart.

On my walk through out my life,

And will until I part.
