My tribute to one of the brightest rising stars in Hollywood, Heath Ledger. He was taken from us way too soon. He will truly be missed.

I never knew you, not the real you,
Although you touched my soul.
A talent lost so soon,
The world just seems so cold.

I can’t imagine your friends and families pain,
losing you this way.
What a shock to the world, this is just insane.
In the angels arms you’re safe and sound I pray.

What are we going to do without you?
It’ll never be the same?
Those words are cold and selfish, yes; I know that’s true,
And It makes me wonder, was all the fame to blame?

We will never again see you smile or read another line,
See your beautiful face or hear your voice on the screen.
How did this happen, did we miss all the signs?
It makes me so angry, I just want to scream!

This is not supposed to happen, dying at your age.
You should see you daughter play and grow.
But now we have to close your page,
Except it, and let all our tears just flow.

You were only just beginning to live your life
And now, in the blink of an eye, you’re gone.
Would things have been different if she’d become your wife?
And would she instead be singing a happy love song?

We will never know how things could have been in the years to come,
Just how far your star would have rose.
That equation has no sum.
Now we must say goodbye and your book we have to close.

As sad as I am over your death, there are others, who are crushed,
We can’t place blame; there’s nothing we could do.
Maybe in time all of the rumors will be hushed.
Until then, rest in peace, Heath, we all love you!

The death of Heath Ledger really hit me hard for some reason. Maybe because he was so young and had so much life left to live, I don’t know. I just felt compelled to write this article to pay my respects to him and his family.

I wish I could give them the answers they need as to why this happened but I can only say some souls are only meant to be here a short period of time before they are called back to the creator. He was a talented and bright rising star. He would have gone so far as an actor.

I wish Michelle Williams and Matilda Rose Ledger the best. In every photo I saw of Heath and his daughter, I saw a very loving and caring father. Again, I never knew Heath or his family. I just felt a strong connection to his spirit and I know those who really knew him probably don’t understand how a stranger could feel so close to someone they’ve never met, but I felt like I could have known him in another life.

Your pain is felt around the world.
We love you, Heath.
Rest in peace.

A heartfelt poem! Yes, Im sure Heath will be missed. My favorite film of his is “The Patriot”. He died in that film, too.
