A wee run for Baby Islay..

Wellies… on!

Hat then plastic mac…

Puppy Sam, and puppy Dan

Papa too…

[Well!! don't forget your umbrella ]

Shouted old Granny Trisha…

.

So out they went In wind, and rain

Not a moan, nor complaint…

Singing as they went

Take the dogies for a walk

Splish! splash!

The muddy puddles

Splish! Splash!!

The muddy puddles

Muddy Puddles… everywhere!!

We have our Wellies… So we don’t care!!

Splish! Splash!

Splogde! slurp!!

Slipping sliding in the muck…

.

See Papa Matt he’s happy

On the slippy slidy path…

Sam, and Dan bark!!! with joy!

As Papa’s umbrella!

Flies way up in the sky…

So off we all run,

In the wind. and the rain

Splish! Splash!

The Muddy! Puddles!!

Chasing Papa’s umbrella

Splish! Splash!

The Muddy! Puddles!

As it flew higher! and higher!

Splish! Splash!

Away they ran, and they ran…

For miles through the Muddy! Puddles!

But…

That big Umbrella! was gone…

Never to be seen by us ever again.

.

When we walked through the door ouch!!

That was sore [ he he he] all that we heard…

Papa Matt!!

Well just have a look at your self

Cried Gran to Papa Matt

[ Keep off my good clean floor]

Islay and Papa with a wet puppy each

Just laughed and laughed

They got all cleaned up after cleaning…

Sam, and Dan then sneaked a cookie, and

a hot drink after we left all the washing…

In the kitchen sink… we snuck upstairs

Where the paint and the crayons

Pencils and pens await our return.

This was such a fun and great read Matt. I could actually picture myself walking my West Highland White terrier and experiencing the same thing.

Matt, I think kids had rather have mud puddles than anything else on earth. Every boy needs mud puddles.
