Corals, pure beauty, beckon me ahead; light glimmers down from far above my head…
Pushing my way down into the deep
The underwater world around me seems silent, asleep
Corals, pure beauty, beckon me ahead
Light glimmers down from far above my head
Fish swim on past like I’m not even there
They surround me with color and appear unaware
Life is bursting from wherever I look
From the open sea around me to the hidden little nooks
I return up to the surface, where the world looks dull and bare
The only reason being my lungs begging me for air
After several gulps, I dive below once more.
Returning again to the lively ocean floor
I long to live among the ones who dwell beneath the sea
To swim all day long
And just belong
To feel completely free.
