My worries cover the whole gamut of humanity’s problems.

What do I worry about?

I worry if the earth goes

Up in a great fireball

In a nuclear explosion

I worry about

The future of our civilization

If we’ll have enough food

To eat

Water to drink

And clean air to breathe

- – -

I worry about the way

That I’m going to die

Will my final days

Be filled with excruciating

Pain

- – -

I worry about all

Those persons that can’t

Pay their bills

That are exploited

Live from pay check

To pay check

And the countless numbers

That die from drought, wars

Terrorists and starvation

- – -

I worry

That I can’t do more

Because I’m only

One human being

With chronic ailments

And limited resources

- – -

I worry

That often prayer

Doesn’t seem to work

At least I’m not always able

To see the results

In our lives

- – -

Those are my main worries

God help us!

Yeah, I worry too. But life is too short to worry over something you can’t control.

I may say, you worry because you care much about humanity. Piece of advice , leave all the worrying to God. Another good read here.

    Don’t worry – be happy!

I worry because I feel deeply for humanity. I am still able to sleep at night but many things mentioned in the poem come to my mind. To me, it’s not enough to bury my head in the sand. These problems that are real ought to be addressed. One person can’t do it. To me, it’s everyone’s responsibility.
