MYSPACE – The Wrong Space

Chad promised her the bright moon and the shimmering stars

She didn’t know he would also give her some red and blue scars

He sounded really nice when they chatted on MYSPACE

She was flattered when he said “come over to his place”

His place was in Florida

Her place in Texas

She was eager to go

She devised a plan to leave in a few days

She had to sell all her possessions, that she had for years and days

Even the ring Nana Jean had given her before she died

She was  visibly nervous but happy also

All she  knew, she just wanted to go

She left that night when her parents were asleep  in bed

All she could think about  was her  new boyfriend Chad

She handed the  bus driver her ticket and she  was Florida bound

She didn’t know what awaited her was a 40 year old man name Brian

She arrived she was anxious, she couldn’t hardly speak 

She was nervous , she couldn’t feel her feet

She wanted to meet Chad

she didn’t realize that she had been had

No chad

All there was a man who was frumpy and looked strange

This awkward creature 

 Called out her name

she was confused

Was this all a game

She ask where was Chad

He grinned and said Chad  is waiting for them at the escalator
