A poem describing the beliefs of the Native American Indian.

I walk on a land

Where Native Americans once roamed

Amongst their people

So brave and bold.

A land that is special

laid with dust and bones

Of Ancestors who died

And are buried below.

Their souls have now gone

They’ve flown like the wind

Like eagles they’ve flown

Through valleys and hills.

They look down upon us and wonder why

We cause ourselves,

So much trouble and strive.

Take time to stop, to listen and learn

Of what lays within us

Our hopes and our fears.

Learn to get over

These fears we all hold

And we’ll fly through the skies

Into many different worlds.
