Nature and I is my longest poem till date. This is the first series of three: SOLITUDE. Nature with its facets is an unfailing inspiration.

Here on shore I can maroon myself
and tranquil before dusk till nightfall.
Nature at peace purifies the soul,
enables life mayhems comprehensible.

The sun smile, sparkles the sea,
its ray on my skin comforts the cell,
madrigal flows from birds over the moon.
The sea breeze soughs across my ears,
mind soothing melody ever so natural.
Above, gulls dive in sea to prey for fish,
whilst the roaring wave splashes me to dive
and made me trudge seawards, spellbound.

In blue crystal sea, I had to swim,
where beautiful creatures caught my eyes.
Dolphins wriggle with eternal smile,
and among mollusk stands crab a fine friend,
who am privileged to warmly meet.

I swam hither to seek mermaid, but she’s out of sight.
Alewife, Brail, Eel, Lobster, and Mackerel,
Prawn, Salmon, Shrimp, Smelt, Trawl and Trout,
twirl around, thinking I’m a lion that came to sea.
They’re right and likewise wrong, for seafood I do adore,
but not raw, so rest assure sea species,
for now I’m feeding my lungs with fresher air.

On my way to surface, seaweeds waving goodbye,
sudden outflow of tears, so in sign language I replied;
I’ll return soon.
Good Gracious I’m in sea none will see the tears.

On sea level heart pounds, catching my breath,
for the un-rhythmical tides overwhelm the nose,
while ears tunes, to the soothing harmony,
an instant reminder, I’m not a fish!

Oblivious was my world, during the while.

A master piece. Will come back with the hope that the remaining series are posted here. Can’t help but adore this analytical hand.

Can anyone post a link on where I can buy any of Deji’s or website link if any, please?

Had to read Devine first, it’s the one currently desplayed on the front page. This is an intriguing sequel. Let me read both together again for a complete impact.

    Clear pen.
