Then and Now

Chirping birds                                                            

Whistling wind

Sloshing water

Rustling Leaves

Nature speaks

In mellow tones

Quietly, serenely

In a secretive manner

Ages pass

Times change

Yet nature remains

Majestic in its own way!

(Ten years later)

Roaring machines

Puffing smokes

Gurgling acids

Hissing boilers

Industrialism dawns

Evil and sinister

Strange noises

Engulfed in their wake

All pretty sounds

Those heavenly resonants

Replaced;

In the blink of an eye

Chirps with puffs

Whistles with roars

Rustles by hisses

Sloshing by gurgles

Oh! Thy great nature

Where is thy now?

Why do thy remain silent

On this tremendous cruelty?!

Why do thy favor silence

On revenge?!
