Lighthouses past and present.

The Guardian Angel Of The NightBy:  Elizabeth Hildamay Grant Price She’s a legacy In her own very special placeWhere she views nothing but sea and skyA grandeur lady, standing tall and mightyAlong the many a coastal peripheriesThe guardian angel of the night Embracing tossing waves, the curling tides and foamsCarefully watching ships dancing in the distant seasHer light piercing through stormy weatherShe proudly, lights the way for eachTo seek the shores of safety Daylight is her time to rest and sleep, not trueShe is wide awake, watching out for chaosThis beacon stands tall and gloriousA tower of power, saving soulsBy the light or by the hornWhatever nature doles  Dusk appears, her beacon light shines bright She is strong to her stand, as the guiding lightGuarding rocky coast and swirling tidesSaving many from treacherous nightsLong may she stands, lighting the wayWith her fiery beam penetrating the darkSending forth a welcomed life lightShe stands with historic pride The lighthouse, her magnificence,Has given memoirs of her timeShe’s a grandeur pharosThe Guardian Angel
