It my first day on a new job

I am nervous and not sure what will happen

My objective will be to demonstrate my skills

As the new guy on the block

I must show my skills

I cannot find those things

I need to accomplish my job

I feel so stupid at time

The new guy on the block needs to know

Everyone has bad days

I am sure more will come

To learn a new or different skill

Will be used to evaluate my effectiveness

One day I will be a valued team member

My turn to support other new guys on the block

I will know their nervousness and uncertainty

While they earn the title new guy on the block
