This is the story of my daughters birth and the complicated relationship that was behind it.

Her eyes adjust to the blue gloves and white lights

Those baby blues glare around

Scissors are brought near and emits a scream

Everyone around said “what a beautiful sight”

As he neared and caressed the child, she made no sound

She couldn’t say she played with a man on another team

3 years and never a fight

Beneath that happy façade her emotions had been drowned

He could never know it was another mans beam
