Newlyweds a poem by Jennifer Jo Fay A poem about new love and how newlyweds think about the future of their love.

Newlyweds

Fresh as a rose and

yes, newly married.

It’s brand new, like a bright copper coin.

We said I do

and have our sacred vows.

He loves me dearly

and I love him with all my heart.

Each new day dawns like a sunflower

as we discover new love.

Fingers entwined

and tied in a knot. A double knot.

Our hearts beat as one.

True loves kiss is kind and sweet.

Each day we grow

we discover new things.

We cherish each day

and share in each others dreams.

We share kids

and love like there is no tomorrow.

Each day holds out on the palms of our hands

precious seeds that grow

and nurture our true love.

We promise to keep our love

sacred, pure and true.

For sickness and in health,

till death do us part.

I await each moment I see his face

again and desire his hugs

and the warmth of his touch.

So, new is our love and holy matrimony,

god is with us and loves us so.

Forever and forever,

many new days.

Sun shines brightly upon new love.

Along with a new move.

So lots of boxes for a newlywed to unpack.

    Hi Jennifer

    Beautiful, romantic and sweet.

I have never been married but I would want the honeymoon to last forever. :-)

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

    Sue
