Some creepy Fog. Halloween.

Night Mist

25 Oct 2011

The mist comes through
Creating a creepy gaze
A silence has come to town
There is something about this haze

It isn’t that cold
But everyone bundles up
People are easily startled
They feel something is up

The mist thickens into fog
It is so hard to see
Strange sounds now move about
Some say, “Time to flee”

Somewhere out in the far distance
A scream is vaguely heard
Some noticed, most did not
Bad things were the whispered word

As that night got darker
More screams getting closer
At home panic kept people
Not knowing what was the hunger

Where I live is near a lake we often have spooky mists in the morning, not so at night though, good poem.
