Have your ever felt like you were lying in bed beside a stranger, but the stranger is the person you’ve loved forever?

You lie here sleeping, my love, my life
I’m awake beside you, your love, your wife.
My arm is around you, sleepily you touch my hand
I’m so pleased that from you came my wedding band.
My body heats up as I’m close by your side
Waves of passion wash over me, just like a tide.
I lie here, hot, with a yearning for you
There was a time you were feeling it too!
But your feelings are on hold at this point in time
You tell me “don’t worry, everything is fine.”
This glowing love that burns for you now,
Is trying to be patient… trying somehow.
