As I was growing up, someone said to me, "You are so Heavenly minded, you are of no earthly good." That hurt me for many years because my heart heard only the second part. But then I came to realize, none of us is supposed to be of any earthly good if we are sold-out to Jesus Christ. maybe we will leave this life unnoticed. But if we have lived our life to glorify Christ, we will not enter Heaven without God noticing our efforts for Him in this life.
No earthly good have I to offer.
No worth in my acts they find.
Redeeming qualities are absent.
They said I have a Heavenly mind.
Songs to sing but none are heard.
Verses writ but none are read.
Talks to give but none who listen.
I give them unto Christ instead.
Elijah was feeling really lonely.
No one else was standing true.
God revealed six thousand unbowed.
There is still a lot to do.
John was exiled on an island.
None to hear his blessed tomes.
God gave a glimpse of Glory.
The Revelation still to do.
Earthly treasures all will perish
Earthly fame will fade it‘s said..
Heavenly treasure lasts forever
So I’ve sent mine on ahead.
The last chapter is just beginning.
The last song is still unsung.
The last verse is still unwritten.
God’s masterpiece undone.
