At Christmas time, there are many people parted from their loved ones, and it is not difficult to think of someone in this situation. This separation can be very painful for many of these people. Here is a poem that could convey these thoughts.

No Garland on my Christmas Tree

It is fate that you are far away,
But in my heart you’ll always stay.
No garland or tinsel on my tree,
While you are not at home with me.

Maybe one day when you are free,
From this life you have across the sea,
It is then your mission will be done,
And you and I may live as one. x

Many people will relate to this, not only because their loved ones are over the sea, but simply in another place for whatever reason.

You cannot always be with the one’s that you love at Christmas time, but the thoughts you share will always keep you connected…Sad heartfelt poem, Richard… I was like that this Christmas just gone, because I couldn’t be with my loved one as he was so far away…Could really relate to this…

Thank you for your supportive comments Songbird. I am hoping that your loved one can be there with you soon. Christmas time can seem very lonely for some, while other families have so much going on…..
