We must work while it is day. One day our hearts will cease to beat, and our opportunities for service down here will be over!
No Holiday for Beating Hearts
“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already unto harvest.” John 4:35
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10
One day our hearts will cease to beat,
And we shall stand with God above.
Our Saviour face to face to meet,
Who died to demonstrate His love.
Tilll then there is a war to fight,
And each of us must do our part.
Yea, we must work, ere comes the night.
No holiday for beating hearts!
If we must struggle when we pray,
Let not the Devil gain this ground.
Put pray and work while it is day,
Lest night should come, and shadows abound!
Let him not get the victory,
Nor any place in our lives have .
O’er us not get the mastery.
Not HIM who died, our souls to save.
We cannot take a holiday,
Or we’ll succumb to Satan’s darts.
We cannot let him have his way..
No holiday for beating hearts,
Acts 17:28
