A poem that I wrote in one of my sadder moments when I was away from my family and realized I preferred being away.
I haven’t been home for a while
And if I go back I’ll be the one that they blame
Sorry mom
But I don’t miss you
Father’s no name
That you deserve
I’m just that kid
With no ambitions
Wouldn’t come home
To save the world
Don’t know what I’ve become
And now I’m the forgotten son
I’ve been gone for so long
All innocence is long gone
I’m a walking disaster
The son of two bastards
You regret you left me
You’re to late to save me
Unless just maybe . . .
