No longer bound by the Devil’s chains,

Christ’s blood has me of sin and its stains.

Once I was a captive- the Devil I served.

Now God gets the prause that He deserves.

No longer blinded by sin’s dark night,

For Jesus has come and has given me light.

The same God that loved me and set me free

Hath given me light by which I now see.

No longer burdened by debt that I owed.

I go now through life with a much lighter load.

I gave it to Jesus to carry for me

So from this heavy burden I too can be free!

No longer branded an outcast to roam,

I go to my Father and feel safe at home.

Though stranger and pilgrim is all the world sees

No stanger to Jesus; He’s no stranger to me!

No longer branded by truths once concealed,

The Spirit’s my Guide, and God’s word is revealed.

Now wonderful truths in the Bible I see.

With His Spirit to guide, it’s no puzzle to me!

No longer banned from that heavenly place,

I shall go there to dwell by His wonderful grace.

It’s beyond my perception, that place I shall see,

But His Blood gives me access. It’s Heaven for me!

All these things and more, they are mine to be claimed.

He’s my Heavenly Father; I bear His sweet name!

Though I once was a slave, days of bondage are done.

I’m born into the family, not a servant, but a son!
