A poem of dealing with the frustration of winter…from a southern standpoint.

I cursed mother nature all today,

It was too damn cold to go out and play.

From south Texas all the way to Maine,

She dumped ice and snow and even stopped trains.Winter's Journey to Somewhere

I long to once again here the birds of spring,Holly Bird

Flying about and building nests of string.

I want to catch me a fish and fry it in oil,

Maybe put a nice big pot of shrimp on to boil.

But all of this ice and snow has to go,

For all of us here in Alabama just don’t know.

How do you possibly survive with this stuff on the ground,

With all of our cars trucks and vans sliding around.Chevy Suburban - Going Sideways

Please mother nature forgive the things I said,

Please send your warm weather before I loose my head.

Just how many storms are there now left to go,

Before we are all certain there will be no more snow.Solitary Walk

Ha ha, Lowell, I know how you are feeling! Longing so much for the sun and warm weather as well. Nice share! Be well, and remeber as long as there is spring in our mind and heart, the snow outside doesn’t matter (not that much anyway…:-)
