Patterns, everyday Patterns,
Patterns, every year patterns,
Patterns, all day, they follow
me here. They come with me
there. I see them in my mirror.
They live there on my desk and
sit on its chair. They hang in my
closet and form in my phone. They
appear in my dreams, all over my home.
They waste all my time. They use all my space.
They fit in my clothes and cover my face. They ruin
my life. They cause me much stress. They make it difficult
to shower and much worse to get dressed. You spend all my money.
You cause me much grief. These patterns I wish would just go, but won’t leave.
The stares that you cause me; these looks that I get. They make me feel awkward;
I will not forget. You’ve follwed me through life; My loved ones you’ve met.
These patterns,
oh patterns…What will you take from me next?
