A pig played an unusual trick on pork lovers. Despite his trick most did not heed this sign and felt that pork should be given another chance.

The pork jumps

Out of the pig

Saying, “Here I am.

Have me for dinner!”

- – -

It was the pig’s trick

On those

That kill it

For its meat

- – -

Pork lovers were

Shocked out of their mind

Were afraid

Ran away

And the pig laughed

- – -

They refused

To have pork

For dinner

And the pig was free

- – -

Even to this day

Most Jews

Believe that eating pork

Is unclean

And not a treat

That many think

It to be

- – -

To some of us

We didn’t heed

This ominous sign

And felt

That the pig ought

To be given

Another chance

- – -

After all

Pork chops

With gravy, green peas

And mashed potatoes

Are still considered

A treat by many

Very nice. I have to admit. I like pork, but, I know better than to eat too much.

Not me, I will never again eat anything that has walked the earth. I used to but I began to think that every living being should have the same right to live that I do.

He says: “Say I do not find in what has been revealed to the taboo that surely be dead, or blood poured forth or the flesh of a pig it is the abomination of idols, or the people of God, it is forced Bagh is not returned, the Lord is Forgiving, Merciful”
