Watch as time passes you by.
Count the years, and watch
As they turn into trillions gone by
What would I do that I hadn’t done
A million times before
Who could I meet that I haven’t met
What songs could be sung,
Or food could I eat that I hadn’t before
A pleasure now may well be a horror
After a trillion years.
If I live for eternity, and see the sun die
With all else that exists. To go on living
In a cold dark void, may be hard to endure
A reward so sought after
To eternal life, I say, no thank you
Let death come when it’s time
I’ll see it as a gift as trouble and pain
Are no more, give me death over everlasting life
And I’ll be sure to live while I’m alive
