Glad you caught on
Miss Marilyn Monroe
Ought to be turning,
In her grave too,
No one knows
Why she went so early,
That does amuse
And
Perhaps twas a muse,
But albeit in the far distant
Expanse of time
And
The deep fathoms of the Pacific Ocean
Let her figure rule,
The lover’s minds domain,
Of all that in life
On this earth does remain.
But as I compose a poem on her,
I hear a nervous one from Australia stir
Oh! Lovely what do you know?
